How this Service Works

If a doctor has diagnosed you with a serious illness, the second opinion service from WorldCare offers you custom-made, personalized reports from some of the top American academic hospitals. These reports are written by experts at a WorldCare ConsortiumSM hospital, using your current medical records. With this service, your medical records are securely sent to a team of expert doctors. They review the records and send back an electronic Second Opinion Package, usually within four business days. This Package includes a Consultation Report, which confirms the diagnosis and suggests the best treatment for your case.

A WorldCare Case Manager works with you throughout the process. After your Second Opinion is complete, we urge you to contact your doctor, who will also receive the report. Your Second Opinion package will be written “doctor to doctor” and may include complex language that your own doctor will be able to explain. Your doctor knows you best, and together, you can decide how your Second Opinion package impacts your care. Your medical records and WorldCare Second Opinion is stored digitally at WorldCare to aid in follow-up and future services.
