Goals of Step Therapy
Step Therapy can help you get the most affordable prescriptions for your condition. Medications used to treat certain conditions are organized into a series of steps which ensures that drugs considered first line therapies, and are proven by Health Canada to be both clinically safe and effective - but generally cost less - are tried before more expensive drugs for the same condition are considered eligible for reimbursement.
Is your medication part of Step Therapy?
To find out if a drug prescribed is part of the Manulife Step Therapy program you have three options - it is as easy as one, two, three. You can search by drug, by condition or you can view the complete listing of drugs in each step of each module. The results of your search are specific to the Step Therapy program; this is not a complete listing of drugs covered under your drug plan.
