Welcome to the Prescription Medication Library, powered by MediResourceTM. Explore factsheets on thousands of prescription medications available in Canada.

Each Medication Library factsheet contains information about:

  • how the medication works
  • the correct way to take it
  • when you shouldn't take it
  • possible side effects
  • important precautions and warnings
  • possible drug interactions

Uncertain about brand names and common or generic names?

All medications have both a common (generic) name and a brand name. The common or generic name is the standard name of the medicine (acetaminophen), while the brand name is the name under which a specific manufacturer markets a product (Tylenol®). A medicine's label will state the brand name, common or generic name, or both. You can search our Prescription Medication Library using either name.
