Rahul Karnick

Rahul Karnick is National Client Strategist for both the Construction Services and Energy Services segments for Commercial Financial Services at RBC Royal Bank. Rahul brings direct experience of the real estate industry where he has been employed over the past five years. Prior to that, he worked in commercial real estate lending with another Canadian financial institution. Rahul has an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, and has completed level two of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Chris Ouellette
Manager of Environmental Solutions
RBC Corporate Environmental Affairs Group
Chris is the Manager of Environmental Solutions in RBC’s Corporate Environmental Affairs Group and is a LEED Accredited Professional. The group is responsible for overseeing the implementation of RBC’s Environmental Blueprint, the bank’s roadmap for reducing its environmental footprint, promoting responsible lending, offering environmental products and services, and engaging with its numerous stakeholders.
Prior to joining RBC, Chris worked in various financial and operational capacities for a range of real estate firms, including O&Y Properties and FirstService, the parent company of Colliers International.
Chris obtained his Bachelor of Commerce at Dalhousie University in Halifax, and his Master of Environmental Studies at York University in Toronto.

Helen Reeve, P. Eng, CEM
Manager of Energy Engineering
Ameresco
Over the last 14 years Helen has worked at Ameresco Canada as an Energy Engineer and Project Manager in the commercial and institutional sectors. Through these roles, Helen has conducted detailed facility audits, developed investment grade feasibility studies and successfully implemented more than $20 million in energy efficiency retrofit measures for clients including Toronto Community Housing, Toronto Public Library, the Regional Municipality of Peel, the Toronto Dominion Centre, and the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.
Helen has extensive experience in energy analysis for monitoring and verification (M&V) of savings for performance contracts for such clients as Carleton University, the Simcoe County District School Board, Toronto District School Board, Brant County Board of Education, and the Ottawa-Carlton District School Board.
Helen’s current key responsibilities include Management of Monitoring and Verification activities for post-retrofit projects, Feasibility Study development and Project Management through construction of retrofit projects.
Helen Reeve, P.Eng, CEM holds a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. Helen is also a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), and the American Association of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
