Standard Life’s Retirement Calculator can help you.
What does the Retirement Calculator do?
It gives you a glimpse into a possible future
Using a combination of our built-in assumptions and personal data that you input, the Retirement Calculator creates a detailed projection of your annual income at retirement. Remember, though, this tool projects your possible retirement income but cannot offer any guarantees.
It tells you how you could get on track
Specific suggestions are displayed throughout to help put you on the right track to reaching your retirement goal.

Your retirement income projection changes based on the information you enter and you can play with these key factors to really see the full impact of your choices and different life variables:
- Rate of return – this indicates how your investments are expected to grow over the long term. You can use the figure that’s there or make your own assumption.
- Retirement age – remember, the age at which you retire can affect how your savings grow and the Government benefits you’re entitled to.
- Level of contribution – see how changing your level of contribution can make a difference.
- Life expectancy – how long you will need income is a large factor in your projection. See how that changes your projection.
