Here’s an overview of what you can expect when your plan moves to Manulife’s administrative system.
90 days before transition | You receive a communication from Manulife with a link to your Transition Guide; this document contains:

20 days before transition | Transition guides from Manulife will be mailed to your plan members. To make the process easy and understandable, this easy-to-read guide explains how the transition will happen and how members will access their account(s) on the Manulife Plan Member Secure Site. For plan members with incomplete address details (missing or incorrect addresses), you will receive packages that we ask you to distribute to these employees. |
On the Wednesday before transition at 4 p.m. ET | Last day for access to the VIP Room, information changes, and transaction requests from you and your plan members. |
On the Friday before transition | Plan members’ account information and financial data will be moved to Manulife’s administrative system. |
On the first business day following transition | You will have access to Manulife’s Plan Sponsor Secure Site. Detailed account information will display at the start of the next month. Your plan members will have access to Manulife's Plan Member Secure Site. |
During the week following transition | Transition guides will be mailed to plan members who enrolled on the administrative system of the former Standard Life after the mailing 20 days before transition. |
During the month following transition | A closing financial statement from the administrative system of the former Standard Life and a separate opening financial statement from Manulife will be mailed to you. Your closing statement will show a zero balance; your plan’s asset balance will be reflected on the opening statement. |
Closing member statements from the administrative system of the former Standard Life and separate opening member statements from Manulife will be mailed to your plan members with assets in their accounts..
