Portfolio Manager leaves Artio Global
Keith Walter, a senior Portfolio Manager within the global equity team, has decided to leave Artio Global to pursue other opportunities. Keith was manager of the underlying fund Global Equity Fund (Artio). Dimitre Genov will assume Keith's responsibilities. Dimitre has worked very closely with Keith and Rudolph-Riad Younes, head of Global and International Equity since joining Artio Global in 2009. (July 2010)

Sub-Portfolio Manager leaves Fidelity
Effective October 2010 Sudipto Banerji, a long-time Fidelity portfolio manager, assumed portfolio management duties from Ilario di Bon, sub-portfolio manager of the Fidelity Global Asset Allocation. The rest of the investment team members responsible for the Fidelity Global Asset Allocation Fund, including lead portfolio manager, Michael Strong, continue in their assignments.
The key investment parameters remain unchanged and portfolio characteristics realized through Sudipto's investment approach are expected to be very similar.
Invesco
Invesco U.S. Small Cap Value Team changes
Invesco announced changes to select portfolio management teams. A key goal of this effort is to ensure they have deeply resourced and focused teams and to reduce overlap and enhance efficiency across the product line. One of these changes to the portfolio management teams is the Invesco U.S. Small Cap Value Portfolio that will now be managed by Canon Coleman. Canon has been with the firm since 1999. Jonathan Mueller and Jonathan Edwards, Portfolio Managers with Invesco since 2001, are members of this portfolio management team. (July 2010)
International Equity Growth Team Leaves Invesco
Old Mutual Asset Management (OMAM) announced today that it has agreed to acquire one of the international equity funds and associated portfolio management teams from Invesco, led by Hans van den Berg. Under the agreement, the team will form a new OMAM affiliate, Echo Point Investment Management, based in West Conshohocken, Penn. Mr. van den Berg and his team joined Invesco, Ltd. following Invesco's acquisition of Morgan Stanley's retail asset management business on June 1, 2010.
The fund's senior portfolio management team has an average of 20 years of international investment experience. (July 2010)
Invesco acquires select Morgan Stanley Investment Management assets
This transaction will affect Manulife's segregated funds invested in the following Morgan Stanley Funds:
Morgan Stanley International Growth Equity II – this fund will be replaced with Invesco International Growth Equity Fund. The investment objectives and policies of the Invesco International Growth Equity Fund are the same as the Morgan Stanley fund. There will also be no changes to the portfolio management teams as they are transitioning to Invesco. The fees and operating expenses have not changed.
Morgan Stanley Institutional Trust – Morgan Stanley US Small Cap Value Fund will be merged with Invesco U.S. Small Cap Value Fund. The investment objectives and policies of the Invesco U.S. Small Cap Value Fund are the same as the Morgan Stanley fund. There will also be no changes to the portfolio management teams as they are transitioning to Invesco. The fees and operating expenses have not changed.

Jarislowsky Fraser appoints new Co-Manager
In June 2010, Jarislowsky Fraser announced the appointment of Chris Kresic to the position of Co-Lead Manager, Fixed Income. In his new role at Jarislowsky Fraser, Mr. Kresic will work closely as co-portfolio manager with the fixed-income team.

Dennis Jensen no longer manages Russell fund
Dennis Jensen, lead portfolio manager for the Russell U.S. Equity Fund is no longer managing the fund effective July 1st, 2010. Stephen W. Skatrud, assumed portfolio management responsibilities for the Russell U.S. Equity fund. The Russell US Equity Fund is the underlying fund for the Manulife US Equity Fund (Russell).

Retirement of Senior Vice-President, Portfolio Management
Antonio Maturo, Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management for Manulife Investments, retired December 2010. Mr. Maturo headed up SLI’s client servicing team. In addition, he was a member of the Asset mix strategy committee.
Manulife Investment team change
Robert McKillop has left the SLI Global Equity Team to take up a new position within the company as Head of Global Product and Investment Specialist. The Global Equity team, located in Edinburgh, manages the International Equity Fund (SLI).
Dominic Byrne has been appointed as the new lead manager of the International Equity Fund (SLI). In addition, Kevin Troop is joining the team as Investment Director. (Nov.2010)
Change in leadership of the SL Canadian Dividend Growth Fund
Effective November 8, 2010, Neil Matheson, Senior Vice President - Investment Strategy, will act as lead portfolio manager for the Manulife Canadian Dividend Growth Fund, the underlying fund for the Canadian Dividend Fund (SLMF). Neil will replace Raquel Castiel, the previous portfolio manager of the fund, who has left the firm to pursue other opportunities.
Neil will manage the fund with the input on securities from the entire Canadian fundamental research team as well as the global research platform.
Replacement of an underlying manager for the Small Cap Portfolio Fund
Effective September 1st, 2010 the Canadian Small Cap Equity Fund (BMO Asset Management) has replaced the Small Cap Equity Fund (Bissett) as one of the two underlying funds of the Small Cap Portfolio Fund (Manulife).
VP Canadian Equity Portfolio Management leaves SLI
Dinka Kucic, a senior member of the Canadian equity team, has left Manulife Investments as of June 1st, 2010. Mark Pugsley, Vice President Equity Portfolio Management will replace Dinka on the Canadian equity strategy committee. Brian Chan has been promoted to the position of equity analyst and will be covering the Materials sector, previously covered by Dinka.
UBS Global Asset Management (Canada)
UBS appoints two new analysts
Curtis Gillis has joined the UBS equities team as energy analyst. Curtis has spent the last 14 years acquiring a broad spectrum of Canadian energy sector experience. More recently, his responsibilities included coverage of the North American energy sector.
Natalie Taylor has joined the UBS equities team as Financials Analyst. Natalie brings five years of analyst experience to her new role, and has had strong experience in creating financial models for the valuation of banks and diversified financials.
Within their respective areas of expertise, Curtis and Natalie will be responsible for fundamental research at both the company and industry levels, supporting UBS Global Asset Management's Canadian and global portfolios. (August 2010).
Fund Manager changes at UBS
Duncan Mathieson, Head of Canadian Equities and Large Cap Portfolio Manager, Barbara Betanski (Energy Analyst), Marilyn Brophy (Consumer Analyst) and Kim Chafee (Financials Analyst) have left the firm.
Pierre Ouimet, currently Head of Canadian Portfolio Strategy, will now lead the 10 member Canadian Equity team and take responsibility for Large Cap portfolio management. Pierre has worked closely with the Canadian Equity team since joining the firm in 1995.
