Dawn Desjardins
Assistant Chief Economist

Dawn Desjardins joined the Royal Bank Economics team in January 2006. She is a key contributor to the macroeconomic forecasts for Canada and the US and is responsible for the interest rate forecasts for both countries.

 

Previously, Dawn worked as a reporter for Bloomberg Financial News in Toronto covering the Canadian bond and currency markets and was the Canadian bond market strategist for a major U.S. bank for ten years. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto.

Peter M. Conrod, MBA, CMA

Effective July 2011, Peter assumed responsibilities as head of strategy for RBC’s Commercial Financial Services business in Canada. In this role, he leads a team of industry strategists dedicated to growing RBC’s lead market share in each of the industry sectors in which we have dedicated industry specialists. He is also responsible for all aspects of RBC’s commercial financial services strategy including roles design, capacity management, training, compensation, marketing, and credit and non-credit product suites.

 

Prior to assuming this role, Peter held responsibility for RBC’s Commercial Financial Services business in Atlantic Canada from 2002 – 2011. Peter is a graduate of both Dalhousie University (Bachelor of Commerce) and The Ivey School of Business at Western (MBA). In 1999, he earned his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, earning the Province’s gold medal for academic excellence. Peter is also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB).
